The Users Summary page
lists users of the Issue Tracking System
(ITS) which match specified searching and filtering conditions. It allows you
for example to browse all users, find users with certain
first or last name, or find for example
just product
managers, administrators or product testers.
The Users Summary page has two major sections. In
the top section you can specify the searching and
filtering conditions. The bottom section is displaying
list of users matching entered searching and filtering
conditions.
How to navigate to the
Users Summary Page
Users Summary page
might be not available for all users. The right to see
other users information, such us e-mail address, is
given by Issue Tracking System
administrators Access to this information
might be granted to development team members only.
If you have the right
to see other users information, then the best way to
navigate to Users Summary page is through link
located on horizontal menu on top section
of the the Issues Summary
page. New Issue, Issue Details or
Update pages have link to the Users Summary
page too.
Filtering Conditions
section
Current version on the Issue Tracking System allows you to specify, none, one,
or more searching and filtering conditions from
following list :
- user's first, orlast name, ore-mail address orlogin ID
- team of specified
product development manager
- product user
groups , such as managers,
developers, testers,
support, product end-users,
administrators
- users with right to manage users have
additional option to list all users, not only users of
current product / product category. All other uses can
view list of users for current product / product
category only.
Operator connecting the values
entered in the filtering conditions section is AND,
except values specified in the users group part. For
example, if you enter 'Bruce' in the User
Id/e-mail/first/last name field, 'Smith,
John' into the Team of field, and select
product support and product testers checkboxes
only, then the Issue Tracking System will display all
product support and
testers from the John
Smith's team whose first, last name, e-mail address or
login ID is 'Bruce'. If you specify just the user
groups, then Issue Tracking System will
display users from selected groups.
Remember, you have to click on the
button in order to display list of user matching the filtering conditions you just
entered.
After you apply
your filtering conditions and Issues Tracking
System
displays list of matching
users, the Filtering Conditions section
of the Issues Summary page may not be needed anymore.
You can hide this section by clicking on the button.
If you want to display the Filtering Conditions
section again, click on the button.
Users Summary section
The Users Summary section of the
Users Summary page is displaying list of
users matching criteria entered in the Filtering
Conditions section. There is a
brief note in the top part of the section
about what filtering conditions were used to display
the users, followed by the list of users. The Issues Tracking
System is displaying login ID, e-mail address, user's name, and his
title for each user in the
list.
If there is larger number of
users matching entered filtering conditions,
the Users Summary page is displaying just a portion
of matching users. You can browse through rest of
the users using First Page, Previous
Page, Next Page links on the bottom of the
Users Summary section.
Users Sorting
You can alphabetically sort the
list of displayed users in ascending or
descending order by their user
Id, e-mail address,
nameor title column values.
To sort the
users list by a column value, click on
the column header name. To switch between ascending and descending
order, click on the up-down arrow icon displayed under
sorted column (once the column is
sorted).
Navigating to User's
Profile Page
You can go to profile page for any
user displayed in the users list by clicking on the icon
located next to the user's information on the left side
of the Users Summary page
.
How to view users for other products/product
categories.
Currently logged in users with right to manage
users can view list of all users for all
products and update their profiles for current
product / product category by
unchecking the 'Display only users with user-profile
defined for '<productname>' product/product
category' checkbox displayed in the Filtering
Conditions section. Users who do not belong to
currently selected product / product category
will be displayed with icon
in front of their user information on the Users
Summary
section.
