The Issues Summary page
lists issues which match specified searching and filtering
conditions. It allows you for example to browse all
product issues, find an issue with particular issue
number, issues recently opened or closed,
issues opened or assigned to particular
person, etc.
The Issues Summary page has two major sections. In
the top section you can specify the searching and
filtering conditions, the bottom section is displaying
list of issues matching entered searching and filtering
conditions.
How to navigate to the
Issues Summary Page
Best way to navigate to the
Issues Summary page is through link located in top part
of most of the Issue Tracking System pages. For example
Login or Logout page has this link.
Filtering Conditions
section
Current version on the Issue Tracking System allows you to specify, none, one, or
several searching and filtering conditions from the
following list :
- issue number
- issue Status (such as Opened,
Resolved or Closed)
- issue Importance (such as Low,
Medium, Critical)
- Opened, Closed or Last
Modified time (such us since today
morning, yesterday morning, last
week, last month)
- issue Assignee
(this filtering
condition is available to development team members only)
- issue opener (a person who opened the
issues)
If no filtering condition is
entered, the Issues Summary section will display all
issues in the Issue Tracking System database.
If value of more than one search field is
specified in the Filtering Conditions
section, then the Issue Tracking System performs
search which match values of ALL non-empty fields. For example
if you enter Opened into the Status
field and Critical into the Importance field, then the
Issue Tracking System will search and display all
opened issues with importance marked as critical.
Remember, you have to click on the
button in order to display issues according to
the filtering conditions you just entered
.
After you apply your filtering conditions
and Issue Tracking System displays list of matching
issues, displaying the Filtering Conditions section
of the Issues Summary page may not be needed anymore.
You can hide this section by clicking on the button. If
later
on you want to display the Filtering Conditions
section again, click on the button.
Issues Summary section
The Issues Summary section of the
Issues Summary page
is displaying list of
issues which match the criteria entered in the Filtering
Conditions section.
There is a brief note in the top part of the
section informing what filtering conditions were
used to display the issues, followed by the list of
issues. Issue Tracking System is displaying issue
number, issue title, issue status and issue importance
for each issue in the list. Additionally, the issue
opener and issue assignee are
displayed to logged in members of the development
team
.
If the number of issues matching
entered filtering conditions is large, the
Issue Summary page is displaying just a portion
of matching issues. You can browse through rest of
the issues using First Page, Previous
Page, Next Page links on the bottom of the
Issues Summary
section.
Issues
Sorting
You can alphabetically sort the
list of displayed issues in ascending or
descending order by their issue
number, title,
status, importance,
opened, closed or last modified
time column values. Additionally, members of the
development team can sort the issues list by
issue opener or assignee
column
values.
To sort the
issue list by a column value, click on
the column header name. To switch between ascending and descending
order, click on the up-down arrow icon displayed under
