Users of the Issue Tracking System
Product End-User

"Product End-Users" are actual users of the product. For example end-users of the "on-line-shop product" are people using the on-line shop for shopping. Product end-users are using the Issue Tracking System (ITS) to notify the product maintenance group about their problems with using the product. The issues they file into the ITS might be either bug reports or enhancement requests.

Often, it is not possible, or for some reasons desirable to give direct access to all features of the ITS to the product end-users. This depends on specifics of the product or other specific circumstances. In such cases, product end-users might not have access to all ITS features, for example they might not be able to file issues directly, but to resolve issues they usually can contact the product support team by other means, for example by telephone, e-mail or regular mail.
